Preparing today for tomorrow's science classrooms.
The new TEKS for science curriculum will incorporate major changes to the way we have been teaching, and we want Texas school districts to feel empowered to lead forward into the upcoming changes.
Funded by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Texas Collaborative for Science Innovation (TxCSI) is a two-year learning initiative providing participating districts a sequence of cohort learning events, on-the-ground coaching and supports to transform science, teaching, learning, and curriculum.
Participating districts will engage in the following:
- Professional learning and coaching
- Capacity building for systems of support to continuously improve instruction
- Partnerships with other districts across the state
- Opportunities for sustaining grants
- Joining a statewide movement for improved science curricular materials
